The Coal Technology Laboratory is one of the unique coal geology and technology laboratories in our country, located within the Department of Geological Engineering at Hacettepe University.
Within the scope of our laboratory facilities, numerous Master's and Ph.D. thesis studies, TÜBİTAK projects, and Scientific Research Projects (BAP) have been conducted on coal geology, non-energy applications of coal, environmental impacts of thermal power plant residues, and their economic utilization.
In addition to these studies, joint national and international projects have been conducted in collaboration with various public institutions/organizations, other Geological Engineering departments in Turkey, and various universities and research institutes abroad. As a result of these efforts, numerous research articles have been published in journals indexed under SCI.
