The aim of the center is to seek solutions to national geoscience-related problems with multi-faceted approaches, to work on transferring scientific research results to technology and to cooperate with relevant institutions and organizations in this regard, to contribute to the in-service training of geoscientists working in public and private sector organizations, to organize symposiums, congresses, conferences and seminars in cooperation with similar domestic and international organizations, and to provide scientific and technical information exchange services among national and international research centers.
UKAM is the only international application and research center specialized in karst hydrogeology among universities in Türkiye. In line with its founding objectives, the center carries out basic and applied research in cooperation with national and international institutions and industry. It actively supports undergraduate and graduate educational activities within the Hydrogeological Engineering curriculum and conducts internationally recognized scientific and technological initiatives to advance national development.
