The aim of the center is to seek solutions to national geoscience-related problems with multi-faceted approaches, to work on transferring scientific research results to technology and to cooperate with relevant institutions and organizations in this regard, to contribute to the in-service training of geoscientists working in public and private sector organizations, to contribute to the field of geosciences at home and abroad. The Center aims to organize symposiums, congresses, conferences and seminars in cooperation with similar organizations and to provide scientific and technical information exchange services between other national and international research centers. UKAM, the only international application and research center on karst among the application and research centers established within the universities in Türkiye, has been carrying out basic and applied research in the units providing undergraduate and graduate education in the fields of Hydrogeology Engineering and Karst Hydrogeology of the University in line with its founding purposes since its establishment, and has been carrying out activities aimed at science, technology and the development of the country at an international level within the university or wherever the service is required, by cooperating with national and foreign institutions and industry.
