The program outcomes determined by taking into consideration the educational purpose of our department's Hydrogeological Engineering undergraduate program and the minimum program outcomes foreseen by MÜDEK are presented below.
PO-1. Gain sufficient knowledge in mathematics, science and related engineering discipline-specific subjects and gain the ability to use theoretical and applied knowledge in these fields in solving complex engineering problems.
PO-2. Gain the ability to define, formulate and solve complex engineering problems based on scientific methods; for this purpose, have the ability to select and apply appropriate analysis and modeling methods.
PO-3. Gain the ability to design a complex system, process, device or product under realistic constraints and conditions to meet specific requirements; for this purpose, have the ability to apply modern design methods.
PO-4. Gain the ability to select and use modern techniques and tools necessary for the analysis and solution of complex problems encountered in engineering applications from a scientific perspective; gains the ability to use information technologies effectively.
PO-5. Gains the ability to design experiments, conduct experiments, collect data, analyze and interpret results to investigate complex engineering problems or discipline-specific research topics.
PO-6. Gains the ability to work effectively in disciplinary and multi-disciplinary teams and the ability to work individually.
PO-7. Gains the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; knowledge of at least one foreign language, effective report writing and understanding of written reports, preparation of design and production reports, effective presentation, and the ability to give and receive clear and understandable instructions.
PO-8. Gains awareness of the necessity of lifelong learning; gains the ability to access information, follow developments in science and technology and constantly renew oneself.
PO-9. Has knowledge about acting in accordance with ethical principles, professional and ethical responsibility and standards used in engineering practices.
PO-10. Has knowledge about applications in business life such as project management, risk management and change management; has knowledge about entrepreneurship, innovation awareness; has knowledge about sustainable development.
PO-11. Has knowledge about the universal and societal effects of engineering practices on health, environment and safety and the problems of the era reflected in the field of engineering; provides awareness about the legal consequences of engineering solutions.
